Michael Memorial Cup

8th State Level Swimming Meet was conducted by Aquatic Association, Madurai. Six hundred students from all over Tamil Nadu participated in this competition. Twenty-One students from Kings competed in the various levels

Sharmila, std 10, won first place in 200, 100 & 50 metre Breaststroke, 400 metre Freestyle.

Sneka, std 9, won first place in 200 metre Freestyle and 2nd Place in 50 metre Freestyle.

Marimuthu, Std 9 won 2nd Place in 200, 100 & 50 metre Backstroke.

Jerin, Std 8, won 2nd Place in 800 metre Freestyle, and 3rd Place in 400 IM.

Sanjeev Athavan, std 4 won 2nd Place in 50 metre Freestyle & 50 Metre in Backstroke.

Sudheesh, std 3 won 1st place in 50 Metre Freestyle.

Roshan, Class 2, won 3rd Place in 25 Metre Breaststroke. Ajay Vishwaraj, Class 7, won 3rd place in 100 metre Butterfly and 100 mtr Backstroke.

Overall, Kings School won seventeen medals 6 Gold, 7 Silver, & 4 Bronze medals 03.09.2016

Second State Level Wheelchair Basketball Championship

The Second State Level wheelchair Basketball championship, 2016 was held between 15- 18th September at SDAT Stadium, Erode. One hundred and twenty students from all over TamilNadu participated, among which S Jeyaselvan, - a Bursary Student of KWTC competed in the match. He was one of the members of the team named Chennai Eagles. They won the semifinals, and played the finals against Spinal Shooters team, Vellore. It was a tough match, but Jeyaselvan’s team won with a score of 35:29. Jeyaselvan was the one who opened the first Basket and gave a good performance.

Visit of Mr. Shankar Mr. Shankar, Trustee of KWTC, UK

Visit of Mr. Shankar Mr. Shankar, Trustee of KWTC, UK paid a visit to our school on 03.09.2016. He was there for the whole assembly. He also gave away the medals and certificates to our swimming champions and appreciated them.

THE HOCKERILL TEAM

On 4th July 2016 during the assembly "The Hockerill" college Team from U.K was introduced and gave a warm welcome by our uncle Colin. This is their 7th Consecutive visit to Kings School. The team consists of twenty five members led by Dr. Kevin. Hockerill students along with Kings School students enacted a play “Peter Pan”. It was a fantastic programme with colourful costumes. Every one enjoyed the show thoroughly.
